The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has released its annual All-America and Phenom watchlists and Granbury High School has four volleyball players recognized nationally.
2023 Girls High School All-America Watch List
Rachael Poirier – Senior – Outside Hitter
2023 AVCA Phenom Watch List
Blakely Bleeker – Junior – Right Side
Allyson McCabe – Junior – Setter
Sienna Watts – Junior – Outside Hitter
The AVCA All-America Watch List is for the top Seniors who have received some recognition for their outstanding volleyball play. These athletes must have earned some form of recognition such as, but not limited to: All-District, All-Region, All-State, PrepVolleyball Ranking List, USAV HP Volleyball Team, etc.
This November, the AVCA will announce 300 athletes as the 2023 AVCA High School All-Americans, as well as announcing an AVCA High School All-Region Team and the third annual AVCA Best and Brightest Awards.
The AVCA Phenom Watch List is for the top Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors who have received some recognition for their outstanding volleyball play. These athletes must have earned some form of recognition such as, but not limited to: All-District, All-Region, All-State, PrepVolleyball Ranking List, USAV HP Volleyball Team, etc. All uncommitted athletes on the Phenom Watch List will be invited to participate in the Phenom College Prep Program.
