At last night’s monthly board meeting, the following were recognized with Achievement Spotlights along with notable events:
- The Granbury ISD Board of Trustees were recognized for School Board Appreciation Month. Students from all 10 Granbury ISD campuses created thank you banners to hang in the board room to show their appreciation.
- Brawner Elementary performed the Pledges at the meeting, let by student council officers Hannah Hutto, Edwin Hernandez, Jack Coffman, Lucas Leija and Principal Sandy Ruiz.
- Recognizing campus and district Spelling Bee champions and bilingual Spelling Bee champions.
- Shottenkirk Senior of the Month: Andrew Nickell. Shottenkirk Automotive Group awarded Andrew with a $500 scholarship. Andrew plans to attend Texas A&M to study nuclear engineering. Andrew is part of FFA, F1 in Schools and Junior Optimist.
- GHS Tennis Academic All-State winners Katie Childs and Kaden Bohney.
