GISD Elementary Students compete in the District UIL Competition

Granbury ISD Elementary Students competed in the second annual District UIL Competition today at Acton Elementary!

Students in Grades 2-5 took part in several UIL categories:

Social Studies, Art, Spelling, Oral Reading, Story Telling, Dictionary Skills, Listening, Maps/Graphics/Charts, Creative Writing, Ready Writing, Chess Puzzles, Music Memory, and Number Sense.

There were over 120 volunteers that helped put on the GISD UIL Competition, including six UIL campus coordinators from our elementary schools:

Haley Briggs - District UIL Coordinator/Acton Elementary
Jill Jernigan – Acton
Cindy Luedeker – Baccus
Charley Henderson – Brawner
Jennifer Bloodworth – Mambrino
Leska Miller - Oak Woods

Each UIL campus coordinator will share individual results with their campus as soon as possible.
