A huge shout out goes to the Pirate Winter Guard for their success, not only this weekend, but for their season as well! Throughout the season, this group of ladies has reached every goal and expectation set this season with flying colors!
Of the four competitions the Pirate Winter Guard attended this season, they placed within the top two overall spots three times. They have also consistently placed 1st in equipment performance, execution, and vocabulary.
The most accomplished win of the season occurred this past Saturday when the Pirate Winter Guard placed 2nd at the NTCA championships! Not only did this group of performers receive medals and another trophy, but they also received a score of 90.4 (the highest score they've ever received). They also improved their previous score by 12.23 points.
As a final close to the season, the Pirate Color Guard finished in 2nd place of the 45 other Regional A winter guards within the North Texas Color Guard Association circuit.
The 2024 production of "Enchantment" will be performed for the last time on April 12th at 7pm during the annual color guard spring showcase at the James Wann Sports Center at GHS.
