Granbury ISD announced the appointment of Dr. Hailey Veron as Director of Facilities and Maintenance. Dr. Veron has been with GISD since 2022, serving as the Federal Programs Coordinator.
“We are excited to have Dr. Veron as our Director of Facilities and Maintenance,” said Emmett Whitefield, Chief Financial Officer. “Having served in several leadership positions and roles in public education during her career, I know she is an excellent fit and will continue to enhance GISD’s facilities.”
Entering her 20th year in public education, Dr. Veron brings extensive leadership experience with her in this new role of overseeing all GISD facility operations. Prior to joining GISD, Dr. Veron spent 15 years in Crowley ISD where she was most recently the principal of Mary Harris Elementary School. She has also been an adjunct associate professor at the University of Texas at Arlington since 2021.
Dr. Veron also served as an instructional coach, curriculum coordinator, professional development coordinator and assistant principal in CISD. She got her career started as a kindergarten teacher in Lipan ISD.
Dr. Veron earned her Doctor of Education Degree in Educational Leadership from Northcentral University. Her Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Services & Development both came from Tarleton State University. She also earned her Superintendent Certification from the University of Texas at Tyler.
