Kim MCJROTC

Jina Kim, a high school junior and Granbury Marine Corps JROTC cadet, has been selected to attend the prestigious United States Naval Academy Summer Seminar this summer.

The Summer Seminar is an intensive, five-day program designed for high-achieving students who have completed their junior year of high school. This immersive experience provides insight into life at the Naval Academy, where academics, athletics, and professional training are equally emphasized in shaping future leaders.

Selection for this highly competitive program is based on rigorous criteria, including outstanding academic performance—encompassing GPA, class rank, and standardized test scores (PSAT, SAT, or ACT). Applicants must also demonstrate excellence in athletics and extracurricular activities, particularly in leadership roles, as well as maintain strong physical fitness, a positive attitude, self-discipline, and high moral character.

In addition to her achievements in JROTC, Kim is an active member of the GHS Physical Training team and Team Captain of the Academic Team.
