Transfer Requests

Granbury ISD Transfer Guidelines

for the 2024 - 2025 School Year

 

Please review the guidelines in their entirety before submitting a transfer request.

 

Parents/guardians may apply for their student(s) to transfer from their current residence-zoned campus to another campus in the district. In order for Granbury ISD to allocate campus personnel appropriately, transfer applications will only be accepted within the designated application windows below. A separate transfer request form is required for each student. Approved transfers are only valid for one school year; a new transfer request must be submitted each school year

 

Granbury ISD campuses accept transfers on a staff and space availability basis. The District evaluates space and availability in each grade level and/or program. If the evaluation concludes that staffing and/or classroom conditions cannot accommodate transfer students, the District cannot approve the transfer request. Transportation is not provided for transfer students.

 

FOR CURRENT GISD STUDENTS ONLY

Window 1: February 12, 2024 – April 30, 2024

 

  • This window is for current GISD students enrolled during the 2023 - 2024 school year.

  • Once the In-District Transfer application and In-District Transfer Agreement have been completed, please submit them to the main office of the school you are requesting to transfer to.

  • Transfer status notifications will be sent to parents/guardians via email by May 23, 2024. 

FOR STUDENTS NEW TO GISD

Window 2: May 6, 2024 – June 21, 2024

 

  • This is for GISD students who are not currently enrolled for the 2023 – 2024 school year and are wishing to enroll for the 2024 – 2025 school year. 
  • Once the In-District Transfer application and In-District Transfer Agreement have been completed, please submit them to the main office of the school you are requesting to transfer to. 
  • Transfer status notifications will be sent to parents/guardians via email by July 14, 2024.
