Chief Financial Officer Emmett Whitefield

Emmett Whitefield became the Chief Financial Officer in June 2021.

Whitefield was the GISD director of finance and facilities from August 2020 until June 2021.  He was previously the director of accounting for Weatherford ISD and worked in GISD as district comptroller (2015-2019) and staff accountant (1998-2013).

The CFO holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Tarleton State University earned in 1992. In 2011, he completed the requirements to earn the designation of Registered Texas School Business Administrator from the Texas Association of School Business Officials.
