Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Special Education Department to support the educational process in preparing special education students to be successful, productive citizens.

Each campus in Granbury ISD has special education teachers and teacher assistants who provide instruction and support to eligible special education students in a variety of settings based on the individual needs of each student.

 

The evaluation staff include diagnosticians, Licensed Specialists in School Psychology (LSSP), and Speech Language Pathologists (SLP).  They are assigned to specific schools to evaluate students for special education services, assist teachers with programming and accommodations, and conduct Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings.  The SLPs also provide therapy to eligible students.
