Book Donations

Thank you for reaching out to Granbury ISD regarding your book donation. 

Please note that while Granbury ISD appreciates your willingness to support our libraries, the District is not currently in need of donated library materials. In place of physical book donations, please consider a monetary donation to the Granbury Education Foundation. Granbury ISD librarians engage students in activities that extend far beyond library books. Grants for these opportunities provide funding to innovative GISD educators, including librarians, to support and enrich student learning and success. The new House Bill 900 and newly adopted Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) selection guidelines require any books collected for school libraries must be favorably reviewed in at least one of these journals (Booklist, Bulletin of the Center for Children’s Books, Horn Book, School Library Connection, School Library Journal, Kirkus, and Voice of Youth Advocates) as well as include an informal review.
